Nick specialises in providing strategy and corporate finance advice to media, marketing and technology companies. He started his career in 1992 as a financial journalist on the Sunday Telegraph. He moved to the Sunday Times in 1996 to follow the media, leisure and venture capital sectors and has built a strong contact list from his press days. Since 1997 he has held business development roles at Chrysalis, where he founded a Corporate Venturing unit and helped set up JZI, the London office of The Jordan Company, a New York private equity group. From 1999 to 2000 he was Corporate Development Director of Talkcast, a new media fund, where he co-founded and built an online financial publishing business. Nick organised the sale of the business to Durlacher and oversaw the merger of the business with Nothing Ventured, the online stockbroker - www.nothing-ventured.com. He spent a year working with Eckoh Technologies (formerly 365 Corporation) on restructuring the group. He handled the sale of its telecom engineering businesses and originated and managed the merger of the 365 sports publishing business with Rivals.net, part of Chrysalis group. Nick combines his role at Mokita with a full-time job as a consultant at M Communication, one of London's leading financial PR companies. |
